~ Country Manager ~

Before joining BIMA, he worked for the French retail Group Casino where he was responsible for its E-commerce ventures in Ivory Coast, Senegal and Cameroun. Previous to this, he worked 5 years at building and deploying the Access To Energy Program of the energy giant Total in Asia and Africa. For over 3 years, he was based in Myanmar where he launched a wide distribution network of clean lighting and cooking solutions through field agents and MFI partners.
Damien holds a Msc in Management from ESCP Europe and an Msc in Development Economics from Paris Dauphine University.


~ Human Resource Manager ~

Abigail is the HR Manager for BIMA Ghana with an overall responsibility of leading the Ghana HR team and performing all HR responsibilities within the Ghana operation.
She is a certified Human Resources professional, having been certified since June 2013 and has over seven years of practical HR work experiences with specialties in recruitment, employee relations and engagement, compensation and benefits design and management, boasting employee morale and staff retention strategies.
Prior to joining BIMA, Abigail has worked in companies including the Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Ghana Limited where she started her career and PZ Cussons Ghana Limited where she worked under Employee Relations/ Policy & Procedure.
She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from the University of Ghana - Legon and a PHR from the Human Resources Certification Institute - U.S.A


~ General Manager ~

Rosy joined BIMA as General Manager of the Ghana operation in 2018.

Prior to BIMA, Rosy spent 9 years in the telecommunications industry across Africa with a focus on marketing, strategy and customer experience. Her most recent role was as Marketing Director of Airtel Ghana, where she had full responsibility over customer experience and mobile money. She also played a key role in the successful launch of Surfline Communications, Ghana’s first and Africa’s largest 4G LTE provider, and also spent five years at Millicom International Cellular (Tigo) where she ultimately took on the role of Head of Brands for all of Tigo’s Africa operations.

Rosy holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School in Boston, Massachusetts, and a BA (honors) in Computer Science and Mathematics from Smith College, Northampton, Massachusetts.


~ MNO Head of Operations ~

Barbara is responsible for the day-to-day operational running of the Tigo Insurance products and to support the growth of the Tigo Insurance division and maintains strong relations with other Tigo Departments.Russell has overall strategic and operational responsibility for our Ghana business.

Before joining BIMA, Barbara worked with Nestlé Ghana Limited as a marketing and sales development Specialist, and managed Nestlé sachet promoters where she gained significant experience in sales and marketing.

Barbara holds a first class degree in Psychology from University of Ghana.


~ Claims Manager ~

Isaac has been with BIMA since 2012 and he is responsible for leading BIMA’s first Digital Innovation in Claims Management in GHANA.

After leaving PWD head office in Asuogyaman district in 2012, he signed up with BIMA as a mobile agent and was part of the Tigo Solution team set to create and build the brand image nationwide. Tasked with the duty of couching new agents, he trained well about 35% of our call center agents, co-foundered the Blakk Id clothing brand in 2014. Joined BIMA’s Claims unit in 2015 as claims admin. Officer and later claims Officer 2016. He won BIMA’s Africans Value award in 2017.

He holds a B.A in Building Technology from Accra Technical University and an HND in Building Construction from HO Technical University. He has joined in training programs in Insurance and Financial Fraud Detection, Claims Negotiations and Settlement from the Ghana Insurance College and Project Management from ABCOM.

Christina Tümmers

~ DTC Mhealth & CX Division ~

Christina Tümmers is our Mobile Health Division Manager in Ghana and is responsible for the strategy and operations of BIMA doctor consultation and associated health services.

Before joining BIMA, Christina worked in development finance for the German Investment and Development Cooperation (DEG) in both Cologne and South Africa, where she gained exposure to a variety of industries. She also worked in Transaction Advisory Services for the insurance sector at Ernst & Young.

Christina holds a MA in International Business and Finance with a regional focus on Africa from Frankfurt School of Finance & Management.


~ DTC Customer Service Manager ~

Marian is responsible for managing the call centre team, increasing sales targets, quality scores and customer experience in Ghana.

Before joining BIMA, Marian worked at Controller and Accountant General’s Department, where she gained significant experience in dealing with government contractors and payment of pensions to government workers.

Marian has a BA in Archaeology and Heritage Studies and Sociology from the University of Ghana.


~ Marketing Coordinator ~

Joseph is responsible for BIMA Ghana brand building strategy and execution of marketing campaigns.

Joseph has over six years’ experience in the Marketing/Advertising industry managing various multinational brands, including DSTV, Oral B, Ariel, Pampers, Always and Safeguard .Campaign development, strategic roll out, monitoring, evaluation and reporting have been core functions.

Joseph has a degree in industrial arts and certificates in marketing, strategic management, customer service and project management.


~ DTC Division Manager ~

Michael leads our Direct to Consumer division (DTC) and is responsible for developing and driving strategies to grow our Mobile Money payment channel.

Michael has 7 years of experience in the Digital Financial Services sector, with key competencies around Customer Acquisition, Channel Management, Product Development and Marketing.

Before joining BIMA, Michael worked with PEG Africa, a PAY-Go Solar company, as Mobile Money Manager, where he helped grow accessibility to Mobile Money agents and also developed improved payment solutions for customers.

Michael also worked with Millicom Ghana Limited, where he grew through the ranks to become the product Manager for Tigo Cash, the second biggest MFS provider in Ghana.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Political Science and is keen on working on solutions that create value for the underserved population.


~ DTC Head of Innovation ~

Francis is responsible for driving multi-faceted projects within our Direct to Consumer Division with key strategic importance for BIMA globally.
Prior to joining BIMA, he was a Senior Financial Analyst with the corporate advisory arm of IC Securities, an Africa-focused investment banking and securities firm where he was involved in major M&A, capital raising (debt, equity and quasi-equity) and corporate restructuring transactions for key blue-chip firms within Ghana and across Africa.
Francis holds a Bsc. in Actuarial Science from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and is currently completing a PgDip. in Strategy and Innovation from the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.


~ Finance Manager ~

Fafa is responsible for managing the Finance, Accounts and tax compliance requirements of Milvik Ghana Limited.
Before joining BIMA, Fafa was an Audit Manager at NMG Consult (now AKA Associates), a private audit firm in Ghana, where she gained vast experience in accounting and audit related areas.
Fafa holds a BSC in Accounting and Information System from the Regent University College of Science & Technology and partly qualified with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, (CIMA UK) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana (ICAG).


~ Mhealth Unit Manager ~

Dr David Sunu joins us from Urgent Care Hospital in Accra, where he was Resident Medical Officer since 2013. In this role, David provided clinical direction, enhanced the service quality of clients and coordinated the operations of the hospital’s diet clinic.Prior to joining Urgent Care, he held House Officer and Senior House Officer roles at the 37 Military Hospital in Accra and the Eastern Regional Hospital respectively.

Apart from medicine, David has a natural flair for teaching - with a focus on youth development. He has worked as an adjunct lecturer with Ghana’s School of Social Work. He provides leadership for various youth groups and has led many medical outreach programmes in deprived communities across Ghana.

Dr Sunu holds bachelor degrees in Medicine and Surgery (MBChB) from the University of Ghana Medical School and a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Science from the University of Ghana. He recently graduated from the University of London International Programme with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree.

Innocent is responsible for managing the call center team, increasing sales targets, quality scores and customer experience in the Ghana.

Prior to BIMA, Innocent worked at Ghana Health and Education Initiative as a library administrative assistant where he gained experience in acquiring, organising, managing and distributing library resources, and ensuring that library provision meets the needs of all its users.

Innocent, holds a BA and Diploma in Integrated Development Studies from the University for Development Studies and a Certificate in Education from University of Education Winneba.

Manager, growing the distribution structures within the territory to ensure
